All conference activities (like registration desk, talks, poster presentation, coffee breaks) as well as breakfast (for those who are accommodated in the hotel) and lunch will take place in the basement of the hotel, and, in case of good weather, breaks can be spend in the garden of the hotel.

The Hotel is located at:       50º08’09’’N    14º22’51E (see the map below)

A registration desk for the conference participants will be established in the entrance hall of the hotel.

Welcome meeting

We expect most participants to arrive on Sunday afternoon or evening. To allow a first meeting, we invite participants on Sunday between 18:00 and 22:00 to the atrium of the hotel, where you can meet your colleagues and chat. Small snacks and drinks will be free.

How to get there

From the airport

The airport of Prague (Name is Ruzyne; international shortcut PRG) is located only 11 km away from the Hotel.

Public busses (line 119) are starting in about 8-min intervals from the airport (one bus stop at each terminal) to station DEJVICKÁ. There you have to change to bus line 107 or 147 direction SUCHDOL that stops after 9 stations directly in front of the hotel (your stop is INTERNACIONÁLNÍ). The drive takes about 30 min (without waiting time).

Of course you can take a taxi at the airport, but negotiate price before you get in (Prague’s taxi drivers have a bad reputation).

Moreover, we will establish a pick-up service from the airport on Sunday, 29 August and on morning of Monday, 30 August as well as a bring-service on Thursday, 2 September. If you are interested to use this service, please inform us via the conference E-mail and give us your exact travel data (flight no, from where, scheduled arrival time) as soon as you have fixed your flight

From the city centre

The fastest way from the city centre is to use the Metro system (stations are marked by symbol of red ‘M’ in a triangle) and to go with line A (the green line) to station DEJVICKÁ (final station of green line). There you have to leave the Metro and change to bus line 107 or 147 direction SUCHDOL that stops after 9 stations directly in front of the hotel (your stop is INTERNACIONÁLNÍ).

You can also take a taxi at the centre; but negotiate price before you get in (Prague’s taxi drivers have a bad reputation).

From highway (by car)

Suchdol is located in the North-North-West of Prague, but is not at a highway. Best you consult a detailed map to work out the way or ask us for the best route from your direction.

It is recommended not to go with your own car thro Prague city centre. First, the traffic is very dense throughout the day. Second, the roads are narrow and mainly one-ways. Third, there is not parking place available.

The conference venue is near the Agricultural University of Prague, which served as conference venue for the Xth European Congress of Ichthyology in 2001 (just to give an idea to those of you who have been on this congress).
